Couldn't log in ... asked for password reminder .... told me I didn't exist. Anyone else had this or am I just not wanted?

Has something unusual happened to your computer (crash, etc.) that might have caused the web site to be unable to read the cookies it has been leaving?

I assume you're using the same computer...

Nope .... same machine. Logged on as normal yesterday with no problems. I'm assuming it must be a problem at the forum end rather than mine as it let me register with the same user name rather than tell me it was already taken...

How long have you been a member? I.e., when did you join the first time?

End of March / beginning of April this year.

Just a thought. Make doubly sure your user name and password are spelled the same as the time you joined.

I have just got back into Mudcat after being locked out for a few months, and, silly me, I spelled my user name incorrectly when I updated my subscription, but then tried to log in on the correct spelling, only to be denied access.

Apparently it happens a lot, so might be worth checking.

Don't know if you can re-subscribe here just using a different user name. Couldn't do this on Mudcat, not without also changing my email address.

Malcolm, I was going to suggest the same thing. I receontly had this problem with a password on the US FAFSA site (one of the dreaded hoops US parents have to jump thru to get financial aid for their college students!). Turns out it was case-sensitive- which I didn't figure out until they rejected me on my third attempt and I had to reapply for a password!

Dunno if it's case-sensitive here, but might be worth a try!
