I will be at Sidmouth Festival from 31st July to the finish. I will be playing with Kettle Bridge Clogs during the week - at the Arena on Saturday about 5:00pm, and in the procession from the Arena to the Esplanade on Sunday morning.
During the week I hope to meet old (and some new?) friends at the concertina drop-in hosted by the West Country concertina Players at All-Saints Church in the mornings from Monday to Thursday.
I expect to be at some of the singaround/playaround sessions at the Royal York hotel on the esplanade in the evenings. Much of how I spend my time will only be decided after I get there.
I hope I will meet up with some of you during the week. The following week I will be at Broadstairs (Kent) folk festival from Tuesday to Friday. A smaller scale event but another time to meet old friends.
If anyone is there and manages to identify me please say hello.
Best wishes,
John Wild

I'll look out for you there, John. As well as Rosie's sessions in the York and Faulkner, expect to find us in the Radway most lunchtimes and some evenings (cue for the regulars at both venues to run screaming for the hills).
Most of the members of the side we play for (Mr Wilkins Shilling) will be in Helsinki the first weekend of Sidmouth, when we ususally put in an appearance. However there will be a very cut down side around on Saturday (there'll be as many musicians as dancers).
Who else will be around?

I'll be at the Sidmouth festival but the concertina may not be very much in evidence. I'll be playing with a dance band called Stradivarious - 13 events to play for - look out for double bass and melodeon.
I've also just been asked to play for a friend in the morris jig competition so I'll probably play the concertina.
Performances and concerts allowing I'll try and get into the Radway if nowhere else.
