I was very pleased with the performance of my concertinas at the Mid-West Fleadh (competition) held last Saturday in Ft. Mitchell KY. In the senior (over 18) category, Steve Agacinski placed first playing an "Edgley" concertina, beating another player using a fairly new "vintage-style" concertina (with concertina reeds). Steve's performance was very polished and technical and his "Edgley" was up to the task. Asher Perkins also won first place in the 12 -15 age category, also using his "Edgley" concertina. The adjudicator, Clodagh Ryan, recommended that Asher travel to Ireland , this summer, as his performance was of All-Ireland calibre. Congratulations to both competitors from the Detroit area!

May the day soon come that the first Edgley helps it's player claim "All Ireland"!
