I just entered my new tune, "Cabbage", but I can't seem get the beaming over the notes to break between the beats. Can anybody tell me why?

I don't really understand what you want but here goes. ABC will group note that have no spaces between them so if you want the tune in groups of two notes you need

Well, I wanted groups of four sixteenth notes (or the equivalent), and I put spaces between letters -- in the way your example indicates -- to separate the groups, but they don't show up in either the music notation PDF or on the ABC display page, though they are there if I enter edit mode.
