Thanks, Leo.

Watch the price of 30 key C/G Anglos come down now that Noel has started a trend for 12 key boxes! :D

"Outer Limits" - is that a movie?
The guy doesn't even imitate the button pressing.
And why with all the budget of the life action movie they didn't have the pennies to buy a decent concertina cabinet? What's this "tender voice" of a low end german Anglo?
What is the actual instrument played for the soundtrack? Duet or a bunch of clariinets?
And why that guy's face was covered with shoe polish?
Was it Australian accent?
It's been yea-s I hea-d this instrument's tendah voice.
From the woods of San Francisco's Chinatown - Happy New Yeah to everybody.

Ok can I redeem myself with this from Google Video. You've got to give the guy credit. Pretty good for a "first night".

"Outer Limits" was an old US TV anthology show from the '60s that showed a different short story every week, similar to "Twilight Zone". :P

Thanks

:D :D :D
Pretty good.
But something is telling me it's done by a stern Westerner.
Oh, yes, of course!. I don't seem to notice a sight of bottle of vodka anywhere. Nah, you can do better <_<

 a brace of banjos with resonators to boot (lubrication or no) means only one thing...banjo hell!

"Fab Girls of the West" appear to be a contra dance megaband, though playing in concert here, with an EC front and center in the video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=D1otKLdM3bU

Anybody know who that is?

Actually, I see two English players - do we know who they are?

From the tags on the video they appear to be from the Seattle area--maybe a c.netter from there knows them. The Frappr concertina players map shows one female player in that area, named "Molly". Doesn't say whether she plays English or Anglo though.

Becky, you're the only female concertina player I know west of the Mississippi. I don't know who the 'tina players are in the video, but the caller/fiddler is Dave Kaynor from western Massachesetts.

I'm pretty sure that the EC player on the left, seen in the opening seconds of the video and again near the end, is Clare Woolgrove, a Seattle Rolfer whom I met in the late 90's when she studied at the Rolf Institute in Boulder.

The same Clare who I met, in Scotland, back in March 1994 (when she was studying in Aberdeen), and who bought a Lachenal Edeophone from me! She's certainly playing a 56 key Lachenal!

It's not the Molly from the Frappr map. Would that I could keep up with those ladies! Maybe someday.

Cheers,
Molly

Certainly captures the atmosphere of a pub session. Thanks, Pete.

Gives a second reason for playing a metal-ended instrument in a dark pub session - reflected light, so you can actually see the instrument. :)

Regards,
Peter.
