My 20 button stagi anglo has 2 leather straps with press studs to close it, but one stud is missing.

It doesn't worry me except when I am carrying it about.

Where can I get a replacement? I only need the press on bit to be replaced, but I don't know where to even begin?

I am not sure how big a stud you need, but we have just been doing some canvaswork on a boat and used a lot of press studs. Try a local boat outfitters or checkout Sailrite.com.

should be the same as used on accordions so a supply shop for accordion repair should have it. the supply suggested could work too.

Which bit of the press stud do you need? The base which is screwed onto the instrument case - I have these as spares. Or is it the part on the end of the strap? These can be bought from leatherwork suppliers like Le Prevo in Newcastle, but you also need the tools to crimp it into place. It might be easier to fit a new strap like this

Thanks my brother has a boat and I tried one of his spare ones from his canopy, but it didn't fit.

It is the part on the end of the strap, if the fitting tool is universal? I do have the fitting tool from my brothers boat.
