At our last gig. Sorry about the quality and all. Taken by a friend on a phone device.
Will miss the trio.

I know how you feel - I miss my group, too! :(

Moscow Nights was one of our favourite encores (we were an "Irish" group). We played it on melodion, banjo-mandolin (me), guitar and double bass. Our version was more "Russian", with those typical changes of tempo, and less "swingy"; more polyphony and less jazzy chords. The melodoen and banjo-mandolin took turns with the lead, and by Jove, we got close to a bayan-and-balalaika sound!
Pity we have no recording of it ...(sigh!)

Cheers,
John

Rodger is an amazing musician and great friend. He'll do well in Argentina. The trio was wonderful and we had a lot of positive feedback. We always went for more of a "hot jazz" sound.
Working on starting my next group. Maybe two guitars and a bass this time...
