So I had last Thursday off work to go to Barleycorn to buy a concertina.

I arrived back at work this morning and my young Scottish colleague made a vague concertina-like gesture with his hands and asked, "So did ye buy yer wee squeeky thing?"

I kid you not.

'concert screamer' too! and 'teenae' (the pronunciation of the Glasgow slang for Tina)

Hello

So now I am curious.

Since you mention it.....

What is a visit to Barleycorn like? What does one see? what instruments were the highlights?

I hope I can get there one day.

What is a visit to Barleycorn like?

Is best described as an Aladdin's cave of concertina wonders.

I hope I can get there one day.

A visit is certainly recommended!
