Many thanks for your response. It looks like the one in this old ad, although the dimensions are not exact.
Wow, that's in rough shape! Sad to see a charming old instrument so decayed.

I think it is in pretty good shape for a 120 year old instrument. Wish I looked that good when I'm 120!

Does it still come at $3.50 with the American Agriculturist.Good price and need info as just about to prune my grape vines.You're 120? Congratulations!

So that's why I don't see these anywhere .....they were all used to prune grape vines. But then again I am 120 years old an can't see much anyway. I guess this is quite a rare instrument.....as rare as helpful comments in this forum.
