Can anyone point me to a score for Linden Lea , Vaughn Williams' 1901 composition for a setting of William Barnes Dorset dialect poem of !859
The original was in G but I want to sing in C.

The only freebie I can find (my husband has a lot of classical sheet music sites bookmarked)
The little orchestra that he plays in does a nice arrangement of this but I think it may be in a flat key (they like to make it easy for the brass!)

Found a three-voice abc from Durham uni folksoc, Mike, so here's the score attached, abc file changed to C (from their key of E) in tuneotron but for some reason the midi won't open...

maybe u can extract midi from the abc on their site, and there's a couple of other toons there which may be of interest.

Thanks so much to you all. I hope to sing and play it at my brother's funeral, it was his favourite when we were kids and he was my little bruv.. BBC Singing Together got a lot of people singing lovely songs I'm amazed how many people know and love it. Apparently it was VW's first published score.
By the way, the words have 'oak tree's mossy moot' not root as I had supposed . I think it must be a stump or bole.in Dorset speech of the time. maybe derived from motte a mound?
