Before I list it on eBay....
I am selling an ex-Salvation Army Lachenal 32 button G/D anglo.
Metal ends, bone buttons,
New 7 fold bellows; new valves and recent pads, new straps.
Steel reeds in concert pitch A:440.
I believe that this was originally in Ab/Eb, but was repitched some 30 years ago for folk music use.
The only issue with this concertina is that the end nickel plating is not in wonderful condition. I was tempted to have it replated, but I know that some owners would prefer to have signs of some honest wear and tear from careful, but fairly heavy useage. It would be a simple matter to remove these ends should a new owner wish to have them plated, though their present condition will not in any way hinder playing.
A couple of tuning anomolies: the lowest button on the left hand D row plays F#/E (as it would if it were a Wheatstone) rather than the normal Lachenal F#/A. The "extra" button on the left plays a pull G#, very useful if playing in A, and a push C. The extra button on the right plays an A pull, and a very high G that can attract the neighbourhood dogs, but serves very little other use imho....
Asking $2,250 Australian plus postage at cost. If sold through this site, the usual donation will be made....
Happy to answer questions or provide more photos if you pm me your email address.
Edited to advise that this concertina is now sold. A donation to c.net will be made shortly.
