Takayuki YAGI
Listed on ebay now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/201793690736 I've seen many Scholer anglos, but English is new to me. Is this a same maker of Scholer anglos? -- Taka
Stephen Chambers
Yes, I've got one. It seems Boris Matusewitch must have started getting these made for him by Scholer after Wheatstone's stopped making their MayFair hybrid concertinas about 1960. In fact the lever mechanism in my example is a Wheatstone MayFair one, and even the case of this eBay concertina looks exactly the same as that you'd get with a MayFair. I feel compelled to add that I'm struck by the irony of Scholer building these successfully in Klingenthal in the 1960s, but their successors BGK failed me so dismally using the same design, and the exact same mechanisms, some 15 years ago... Takayuki YAGI
Thank you for letting me know :-) I feel compelled to add that I'm struck by the irony of Scholer building these successfully in Klingenthal in the 1960s, but their successors BGK failed me so dismally using the same design, and the exact same mechanisms, some 15 years ago... I remembered your post about the Triskel project...
