The principle for a uniform 'ergonomic' handle according to earlier articles and the topic "Reforming Concertina(s) are practised here on the Anglo.

Figure (A) 4 shows the base plate (B) and wrist support (S). Thumbstrap (T).

The hand position is rotated compared to the traditional handle but in fact this corresponds with the position many players spontaneously adapt to since the instrument 'top' falls down in the hands due to the unbalance.

Figure (A) 6 showin view from low end.

Base plate (B) Support (S) Thumbstrap (T) Fixation point for handstrap (HS)

A broad (30-60mm) and steady S-shaped handstrap with individually adjusted location is used to get optimal handposition. The height fo the support also is an issue for individual adjustment as well as the position for the thumbstrap.
