I have a couple of unidentified tune fragments from a N-W Morris 'medley'. No-one else

in the side seems to know what they are. Here is the ABC:

"G" g2 f2 "A" e2 d2 | "D" f2 e2 d4 | "A" c2 e2 "D" A2 Bc | "D" d2 f2 d2 |]

"D" d4 "A" e4 | "D" f2 d2 d4 | "Em" B2 e2 "A" B2 c2 | "D" d6 |!
AG | "D" F2 A2 AB AG | "D" F2 A2 A4 | "D" F2 A2 d2 e2 | "A" e4 A2 G2 |

"D" F2 A2 AB AG | "D" F2 A2 A4 | "D" F2 A2 d2 e2 | "A" e6 |]

I tried 'profiling' 'em with no success. Can anyone identify them please?

Thank you.

Roger.

X:1 I can’t help you with. X:2 sounds a lot like a French Canadian tune called “La Belle Catherine” (which, in turn, has a lot in common with “Oh, Do You Know the Muffin Man”). It goes like this:

T:La Belle Catherine

Thank you for that! I tried 'musical profiling' with no luck, and waded through Lester Baileys

'Tune a Day' listing, also with no luck, so that's a start.

Thanks again for your help.

I alway look up on it as a delightful journey rather than a wade
