Jim Besser
In response to a request from Robin Harrison, here's a Morris dance tune in 7/8 time. Here's a video of the dance as we performed it at the Marlboro Morris Ale this year. The tune is the Battle of Waterlooplein, written by the foreman of the Foggy Bottom Morris Men, Andrew Marcus, who has written many really cool dance tunes. He also wrote this version of the dance, which is actually called Plumb Boogery, not Plumb Buggery, as our miscreant dancers like to announce it. The dots - attached - (and the video) are in Dm, but I've started playing it in in Em (on the CG Anglo) or Bm on the GD because I can get more punch in those keys.
