Randall Cayford
A friend of mine loaned me a concertina and I'm curious about what it is. It's a 56 key English with a range from E below middle C to E three octaves up. There is a serial number 25011 several places but no maker name that I could find. It came in a square leather Wheatstone box with a 15 West Street address. The keys might be glass but look and feel more like plastic to me. If it's a Wheatstone, then, according to the ledgers, it's from 1910 and is a No. 19. While that is a 56 key model, it's an Aeola. So this seems like it must be something else. Anyone know what this is?
Stephen Chambers
Anyone know what this is? From the action and the serial number, I'd reckon it was a late model of Jones, from the beginning of the 1900s.
