Guest
I found this link on the RTE Late Session web site that I thought might be of interest: Micheál Ó Raghallaigh on concertina (solo) in concert in Ireland, August 18, 2004. (Look approx half way down the page to the Weds 18th August 2004 show) http://www.rte.ie/radio1/story/1015109.html Enjoy! Cheers Morgana

I blush when admitting that I just now realized that there are other trad music shows on RTE besides Ceili House! Henrik
Guest
"The Late Session" is a great weekly radio show, although it can sometimes be expensive ("Hmmm, that's a great CD, think I'll buy that one too!" ) Last week's show* also includes an interview with fiddler player Andy Morrow, and tracks from his new duet CD with concertina player Tony O'Connor. See you in October! Cheers, Morgana [*Or it could be the week before, depending on when you read this ] Edited March 14, 2005 by Morgana
Mark Davies
Whilst attending the Corofin Traditional Festival earlier this month I had the oppurtunity to watch a 30 minute programme on TG4(the Irish speaking television channel)which featured Michael O'Reilly. It showed him in the early stages of re-tuning a metal ended Jeffries anglo and featured him playing with Michael Rooney, the band Providence and The Tain Ceili Band.He is a lovely player. He was also teaching at Corofin and playing in the sessions. It also featured Steve Chambers giving an insight into the history of the instrument.I'm not sure if this programme can be watched from the TG4 archives but it might be worthwhile someone investigating. The Irish media both at a local and national level often feature programmes on traditional music which contrasts vividly with England where traditional music is totally ignored by the media.
