Hello Concertina.net community.  I have read through many of your forums for several years, but I'm trying to find a very specific box.  I'm looking for a Crane duet, preferably 42-55 buttons as I have a Wheatstone 35 key Duet.

thanks

Chris

There is a 48-button at Button Box, in Amherst, MA.  A metal-ended Lachenal.

Hello Ceemonster and Don (PM'd today),

thanks for your responses.  I am considering the options, I have been to Button Box before (website at least).  Button Box has a lot of vintage boxes, I almost bought an English Mini from them, couldn't raise the money in time before somebody else bought it!

thanks

Chris

Thanks for the offer, but what happened with the mini English was I decided to get a used mini-anglo which was a modern build from A.P. James.  Right now I'm focusing on getting a bigger Duet.  Although I would be happier with more buttons, including 42 if it was a good sounding box, I am really after a 55 key if I can find one.  I want those extra keys on the left side though I imagine the 55 key concertina will be a lot bigger than my 35 key.

Are you sorted yet? I have a Lachenal 55 button Crane that I could part with for the right price. At the moment I'm about to start four days of performing at the Orkney Folk Festival, but if you are interested, when I'm back in the west country I'll post more details, photos etc. We would be talking £2,000 sterling.

Hi Chris,

Since you're just up the road in Prescott, I have a 48-key Lachenal that I might be persuaded to part with.  Pictures from the c-net member I bought it from are at http://www.craneconc...php?indexnum=29

Kind regards,

Rod

Hello,

I'm sorry I did not respond sooner.  I now have a 48 key Lachenal.

So thank you for all your great offers.  I know I will get a 55 at some point but for now and for at least a year I'm guessing I'll be pushing away on this 48 key.

thanks again, this thread is now closed

Chris
