can anybody tell me the name of the tune that gina is playing on the rochelle and the morse?

One of the video clips has a comment asking whether it is "The Rose in the Heather". I've put the ABC notation for that tune into the Tune-o-Tron, and it sounds very likely.

Peter.

Ho-ho! That's a nice one! That's the one I can't possibly play on the English.

Is it me, or is it recording, or has the tone generally improved?

I'd also watch your face. Stick a sigarette in your mouth, or a pipe, if you can't crack a smile.

I especially liked the second part. Seems like you're getting the Duet playing.

Hmm. Too late for me. Just tell me once again, how much you paid for that Wakker of yours, so I can come to my censes. Please?

You folks are fast, I was going to post this today. Sounds like YouTube didn't muck up the sound as much on the latest tune, maybe something having to do with their new "high quality" mode. There is some harsh clipping that isn't on the original recording.

I don't find it natural to smile for cameras...well, there's a little one at the end. Playing in front of people is different. Hey, it only took 5 or 6 takes this time!

The Wakker was $5700. They're now $5875, or $8550 for the 65-key.

I don't believe you. I don't want to believe you. Why should I have a breakdown?

Beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful. Keep on saying this. Sweet music.

"The Wakker was $5700"! A poetry!

I'm calm, sure and strong. I love the whole World, deeeeep breath.

Ahhhh.

Good idea, putting up hands-on critiques of different models!

I'm afraid the anglo demos didn't help me much, however. The lady didn't let us hear how the high and low notes blend, or how well the right hand can assert itself over the left, or what a full chord sounds like. That's what I'd really want to hear in an anglo! Single-note melodies are seldom a problem.

Cheers,

John

Hi John

Sounds like a good project. When can you start. Sounds like it's way above my understanding.

Most of the clips I found are advertisements from one place, just to satisfy a curiosity I believe for people that have a minor curiosity of "What does it sound like?". They look like they were professionally done, by one company, in one place. I had no control over content. The only type of instrument missing was a duet, which I just recently found.

Thanks

Leo :D

I've edited, repaired and updated quite a few broken links. They should all work now. Here are a few not mentioned before. All of them have been posted with an emphasis on audio quality in no particular order, so if you have a good sound system they should give a good representation of the sounds.
