Groovy
Hello Squeezers (!) This is a typical newbie question ~ but then I'm a newbie, so you'd expect it I'm playing an Anglo. When I play a melody note I find I can usually create some sort of 'harmony' (most of the time) by playing the note next to it. My questions are: 1. Is there any basic 'rule' whereby I could add a 3rd note? 2. Apart from adding a harmony note next to the melody note (by playing the button on the left or right of the melody note) ... is there any other 'basic rule' for adding a second note ... other than playing the note mentioned? Thank you so much for your edifying replies and help. Groovy... a newbie squeezer now working on 'Begin the Beguine.'

Go to www.concertina.com and download the article called 'Faking it' by Roger Digby....it is superb, and will show you how to build harmonies on your anglo.
