Theo
Martin Henderson was well known, even famous in his day as a "the blind concertina virtuoso" He toured as far afield as Australia as a performer on Concertina, piano and other instruments. There is a nice biography of him here. I've just been visited by his great nephew who has asked me to find new homes for his instruments, a 56 key tenor treble Aeola, and a 12 key six sided Wheatstone miniature. He was a native of Cullercoates, which is not far from my base in Tyneside. Along with the concertina is a cutting from a local paper with a photo of Martin and a little more information about him.
