3rd Charles Wheatstone Memorial Mornington Crescent Game

Recommended Posts

But first, I have had a pm from forum member Mrs Trellis of North Wales asking how come nobody ever plays Mornington Crescent as the first move, and thus wins the game outright.

We may ask why nobody ever plays Mornington Crescent on the concertina ..... ?

It's tenuous links time. Paul Hirst, who starts off the music in this video playing one row melodeon, has been known to play English concertina, and C.net member Gavin Atkin might be spotted as one of the dancers. Am I right, Gavin?

Regards,

Peter.

PS - did Mrs Trellis join C.net just to ask this question, or with the intention of participating in a future game?

I refer you to the song "Mornington Crescent" on the CD "Pour l'Amore des Chiens" by the Bonzo Dog Band, well known house band of the Mornington Crescent Club. Just arrange it for concertina ...

I asked her this myself, but it appears she thought she was subscribing to a concert in a forum.

Perhaps we can restrain our understandable eagerness for the Great Game until next February?
