Hey Adrian,

Love the video - nice to see you in your natural habitat! What a beautiful and inspiring place.

I've signed up to help and encourage everyone else here on cnet to do likewise to support our own, and more importantly to support such great music.

For anyone who has so far escaped our promotional blitz of the last few days,..

Is that the promotional blitz which involves sending unsolicited emails to folks who don't really want 'em?

Just wondering...

TCA

Actually mostly it's unsolicited posting on social media (facebook, youtube et al.) Sure we have a mailing list, but it's run via mailchimp, so if we've made mistakes in compiling our lists, recipients simply have to click on "unsubscribe" to ensure they never hear from us again.

As a musical instrument maker, I've not had to advertise once in 38 years, since the instruments themselves generate their own publicity - good or bad:-) The sad fact of the matter is that if you want to perform music for people, you occasionally have to make a bit of a stink about it...

That said, I'm truly sorry and can only offer my utmost apologies if you have personally been the innocent victim of our vicious campaign.

That said, I'm really happy our video has been well received and thanks to all who are supporting our efforts. I think people who've got our first CDs will be surprised by the new one, as we have moved away from the more 'classical' recording techniques and used a much more direct sound. In any case, we're very happy with the result and hope you will be too.
Luke, we'd love to come to California, but we'd need to do more than a couple of house concerts. If there are venues or festivals you know about, where you think we might fit in, please drop me a line about it and I'll go on the attack...

Wishing you the best on your tour. I love your music. I plan on memorizing this sentence from your previous post and reciting it in company at the appropriate moment.

"That said, I'm truly sorry and can only offer my utmost apologies if you have personally been the innocent victim of our vicious campaign."

That will get everyones attention, I warrant.

Thanks again for all the support and we're really happy with the way this is going so far. We're planning to add a couple more updates along the way with videos and more extracts from the recording, so unless there are any objections, I'll post the links here as they go up on kickstarter.

Jody, I can only say how it brings joy to the heart, to feel understood by someone who's been there themselves and felt the pain… Cheers mate and good luck with your tour! We'd have loved to stay over and meet up, but with a nipper in house, we're bound to a certain extent by school holidays :-(

Will do, Adrian. I know some people who regularly host house concerts but will do some investigation into larger venues as well. Love the second Vernacular video, by the way.

Thanks a lot Luke,

That would be great - let me know if you find anything and I'll launch the Dapper's Delight promotional juggernaut into action :-)

I guess as one of our backers, you got the video update before I'd had a chance to sort out how best to make a link to it :-) (Without wishing to bore anyone, different browsers react differently to the generated hyperlinks and I've been trying to find a way around this…) Anyway, if anyone would like to hear a few more excepts from our new album, the crowdfunding link is here:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2054208384/vernacular-a-new-album-by-dappers-delight/posts/1988346, but you may have to scroll down the page to "Lifting the blanket...".

And the video is also on youtube on our channel.

Thanks again to all who've had a listen and supported us so far…
