Chris Timson
We're starting a new English music session later this month at the Inn at Freshford, Freshford, near Bath. We'll be running on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 8.30 pm in the main bar, starting on 13th September. Here's a link to a pdf with a map and other useful info. Concertinas particularly welcome! Chris PS To anyone who may have heard that the pub has had PEL problems affecting the Irish, singaround and jazz sessions that already run at this pub: apparently it was an administrative oversight, they forgot to renew the licence. This has now ben done and things are returning to normal. Edited August 31, 2004 by Chris Timson
Lester Bailey
Bugger I will be traveling back from Yeovil next Monday and Freshford is near enough on the way but the wrong Monday. Good Luck with your session.

Chris Timson
Well, our session started last night, very successfully too. A dozen musicians, lots of instruments of all sorts, up to and including trombones and smallpipes (oddly, no fiddles), and 4 concertina players (2 anglo, 2 English) including our own Lester Bailey. Lots of good music and some nice company. A good portent for the future. Chris
Lester Bailey
Fabulous session, good pub, good people, good music. Unfortunately the 240 mile round trip will make me rare visitor. If you can make it I thoroughly recommend it. My count of concertinas was 2 anglos and 3 English.
Chris Timson
Lester's count is correct. I should also say we had a couple of good songs from Lester's wife. That suited me, I like the odd song in an instrumental session (and the last song was definitely odd). Chris
