The 2013 German Concertina Meeting Coming Up Soon

'Don't be afraid of the Germans!'

 

This weekend event will take place between the 15th and 17th of March this year and I'd just like to give it a little plug since I will be teaching there for the 4th time. I'm down for teaching 'anglo: non-Irish', which covers a lot of scope, but I've also taught a few Irish style players in the past, who wanted an initiation in the 'dark arts' of playing melody + accompaniment. The big attractions this year are Edel Fox and Simon Thoumire, and there will be a host of different activities throughout the weekend. The event is a very friendly and relaxed affair in what is one of the most beautiful parts of Germany. So if there are any UK based players who've thought about coming in the past, but been put off by the language, I'd just like to stress that nearly everyone involved speaks English and that they'd be made to feel very welcome.
