I can't find any other online source of lyrics. Maybe some others out there can make out more of the words? Thanks for any help you can provide! ed It's a Beautiful Day Charles O'Heagarty There's all sorts of people who people this earth. Some people judge people by what they are worth. Some people hate people and that's really the worst, for we're really not so different as we might seem at first. Hi Ed, I'm fairly certain I have both that tape and another recording of the song somewhere. I just don't know where at the moment, and I don't expect to have time to hunt for them (or even listen carefully to your linked sound file) until after May 1, so I hope someone else can help you sooner. A couple of quick bits, though: Your "lowly rollers" is almost certainly "Holy Rollers". And one of your " patent? twirlers?, batten? furlers?" should be "baton twirlers". But there's also the fact that Charlie could vary the words to suit the occasion. E.g., though I heard him do this song several times in concert, I don't recall him ever singing "on this tape" on such occasions. It wouldn't have made sense there, though of course it makes perfect sense on the tape.
