A First? -concertina/uilleann Pipe Case

Hi! I've already posted this on the C&F UP list. Although, I recognize there aren't too many tina/piob players out there, I thought you tina players would appreciate the enclosed photo. For the longest time, I've always dreaded having to negotiate so much gear on the way to and from gigs, or even just to a freinds house for soem tunes. I posted about tina/piob cases, but as I expected I got no responses.

 

I had this case made by the professional case maker Joe Cellini. He's done cases for Shakira, Gloria Estefan and other huge groups AND us normal people too! Because of his experience (25 years) in the case biz, it took him very little time to ascertain the correct internal measurments. Everything fits like a charm.

 

It is my hope to get this configuration made in a soft case. The sides will have some kind of plastic on the inside for mild protection. when traveling, I want my hike in MIA or LAX to be as unencumbered as possible.

ps some of you may notice the signatures on my stuff. I like to collect autographs of the musicians I meet. Some of the ones showing are, Paddy O'Brien is on the tina, Paddy Moloney is on the bellows, and perhaps it's Tommy Peoples, James Kelly, Mary Bergin on the stock of my pipes that is show. ....good craic it is! :-)
