Temptation, temptation!!

Nothing to do with the widespread MIAS (Musical Instrument Acquisition Syndrome) - it's just that my real name happens to be John E. Dallas. I recently bought a zither-banjo by the maker of the same name for sentimental reasons, although I already had two good Windsor zither-banjos. I've also contemplated bidding for a Jedcertina (a piano-duet concertina devised by the said J.E. Dallas and made, apparently, by Lachenal) on Ebay, but the price was too high for its musical usefulness. Zither-banjos - even pre-1915 specimens like mine - cost a fraction of the price of a playable concertina, and at least I play the banjo!

And now this! A good, English-made 30-button Anglo with my name on it!

Oh dear, oh dear, what shall I do!

Cheers,

John (E. Dallas)

Hello John.....just give in to your MIAS temptation!

Geoff Crabb advised me that his family made these concertinas...for J.E. Dallas. The concertina has a nice "warm" sound.

(My Dipper anglo 40 button concertina will be ready in April after a 9 year wait....so I am selling a few of my concertinas to pay for the "once in a lifetime Dipper concertina).
