TomB-R
I had the pleasure of being at Magpie Lane's Christmas concert in the Holywell in Oxford. Highly recommended, I really enjoyed the clear voices of Andy's concertinas (Jeffries?) in that wonderful acoustic.
Chris Drinkwater
Any band or pairing, featuring Andy Turner on his Jefferies anglo and Hohner 1-row melodeon is definitely worth seeing, especially Magpie Lane. What a shame Sheffield isn't nearer London! Chris

What a shame Sheffield isn't nearer London! Chris I'll second that Chris. Andy was a superb tutor at Kilve last March and led an excellent workshop at a WCCP Ruishton meeting subsequently; he's always good value. I've also heard/seen the band live in Oxford as well as owning several of their recordings; they're a bunch of fine musicians.
