Jim Besser
Wondering if any cnetters will be going to the New England folk festival, April 21-23. If so, maybe we can schedule a little cnet gathering and jam. I'll be there as a groupie for my wife's rapper team, which is performing.
Mark Evans
Well, I certainly plan to go, most likely on the 23rd. That would be fun.
Chris Timson
I envy you. The one year we were able to make it to Neffa we had an absolute ball (once we had got over the culture shock of a dry folk festival, of course!). Chris
Animaterra
I will be there - the schedule isn't out yet as far as I know, but my morris team will be there, as well as possibly my concertina/harp duo and members of my women's chorus!
Jim Besser
Well, great, so we'll have a Cnet critical mass. Closer to the date, maybe we can figure out a time everybody'll be there and we can play a few tunes. Chris--yes, a dry festival, a shocker for those used to Morris events, which are hardly dry. Richard Morse
I, and The Button Box, will be there as usual - except that this year we're going to be in the CRAFTS ROOM rather than relegated to the nether end of a far-flung corridor. We USED to be in the Crafts room but they booted us out as we made too much "noise" and didn't really *make* what we sell (that was about 15 years ago). Now we'll be back - but will be limited pretty much to what we *make* - our Morse line of concertinas (and periferals like concertina books and recordings). I'm sure that the errant vintage box would be acceptable too.... Sorry to all the accordion players out there! David Barnert
My morris team (Pokingbrook) is planning on going, but at the moment, I am not sure I will be coming along. If I do, I'll certainly try to join up with the c.net group.

Are any members from that era still dancing with you? Larry
greenferry
I will probably go since I live nearby. I hope The Button Box will have lots of CDs and stuff to sell, I always buy something as a souvenir. I'm glad they got the crafts room this time. Was NEFFA always dry? Somehow I seem to recall a time long ago when people walked around with tall plastic cups of suds.

Are any members from that era still dancing with you? Hi, Larry. Too bad we didn't make this connection when we met at the Squeeze-In. The late 70s was about the time the team moved north to Albany. I joined in 1986. Our longest surviving members are Larry Syzdek & Ruth Olmsted (now married, although not then) and Bob Weissberg (his wife, Mishka Luft has left the team). Bill and Marie Newman have both left the team (and each other) in recent years. Bill is now dancing with the Berkshire Morris men, as is Jim Cosgrove. Pat Rust and Helen Stokoe keep in touch, but haven't danced with the team since the move to Albany. Doug van Aulken is still our mascot (unicorn). The team's web site is at http://home.nycap.rr.com/pkb.
