RWL
I didn't realize the history forum was the correct place for ID'ing instruments, so I posted my query in the general forum Link here: http://www.concertina.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=16661 I don't know if it's just a slow time, but I didn't get much of a response there, so I'm cross posting the link above. Also, is there a summary somewhere of the different models of Lachenal and Wheatstone English concertinas? Thanks RWL
Dowright
Given the correct serial number of No. 53590, someone suggested that the year of manufacture is 1919. In fact, the year is more like 1911/1912. By 1919, the serial numbers for English-system Lachenals were above 57,000.

Daniel Hersh
Also, is there a summary somewhere of the different models of Lachenal and Wheatstone English concertinas? I have found these old price lists to be helpful: http://www.concertina.com/pricelists/index.htm
