David Barnert
1910 newspaper story. See 3rd column. Any idea who “Mr. B” might have been? Edited February 5, 2018 by David Barnert

Don Taylor
I don't know either, but four years after an 'Essay in Patriotism' all hell breaks lose because of patriotism. I suspect that most of the young men in those pictures died in WWI. And the Ladies go Dancing at Whitsun.
malcolm clapp
Mr B may have been a typo. Mr H (Hemmings) is much more likely as the description is obviously of the Abingdon Morris, though un-named. See http://atmd.org.uk/the-mayor-of-ock-street/ Also http://www.aaahs.org.uk/files/Morris.pdf and many related pages.
