Jody Kruskal
Just updated -- My England tour schedule for November 2017 has had a few more tweaks. The Horsham club on the 19th and Wychwood on the 11th are gone. Devizes and Walthamstow dates have firmed up. Possible additional engagements in London and Reading are pending. I hope that some of you will join me in Lewes for the all systems concertina workshop Nov.18. I have some fine old-time band arrangements that will suit all participants from readers to ear players and from beginners to experts. Really fun tunes and songs. Here is my schedule so far: Wednesday 8 Baldock & Letchworth Thursday 9 Maidenhead Friday 10 The Fo'c'sle in Southampton Sunday 12 Walthamstow in London Thursday 16 The Anchor in Surrey Friday 17 Deal in Kent Saturday 18 Lewes for workshops and a concert Monday 20 Devizes Wednesday 22 Cross Keys in Saddleworth Thursday 23 Lymm Friday 24 Ryepiece house concert series in Ettington Edited March 10, 2017 by Jody Kruskal

Chris Timson
Ah, rats! The Devises date co-incides with a Bradford on Avon session. Never mind. Chris

Jody Kruskal
Dear C.Netters, I’m almost halfway through my England tour and so far it has been splendid. My hosts have been extremely welcoming, kind and generous with their hospitality. My audiences have all been enthusiastic and I’ve finally hit my stride with the performances and gotten beyond my jet lag doldrums. Along the way I have had the pleasure of playing tunes with a few concertina musicians, notably: Alan from Maidenhead and also Janet and Tony from Byfleet. What fun! Yesterday I had the pleasure of playing at a music party in Reading that included Martin Kennard, Colm Daily, Simon Mayor and Hilary James Martin... what a fun time we had! Jody Kruskal
My tour is just about over and it's been a splendid time... the best ever! Chris and Ann did attend the Devises Folk Club date after all, as did Colin and Rosalie Dipper and it was excellant to have them all there. The Cross Keys Club in Uppermill/Saddleworth had an amazing stone room that reflected the raised voices back to us with a natural amplification that was a wonder. Brian Peters was there and sang a fine melodeon song, Robin (Anglo) and Ann (English) were there as promised and Robin sang an intricate and detailed song arrangement of his. They told me about a session at the Railway Hotel in Pleasington which I attended with them the next day. It was well attended and organizer Dave asked me to sing a few songs... very nice indeed and good beer too. The Lymm Club date was excellant and then my Ryepiece House concert was very well attended with 50 folks all singing along... delightful... including Graham C. on G/D Anglo who obligingly joined me for some intrductory Morris tunes to start the evening off. Now, with my concerts all done, I'll head up to Sheffield for the Royal carols to end my 2017 England tour squeezing and singing. Kelteglow
Unable to make any of your gigs this year I will try harder next .I am always jealous of the folk that attend you workshop in Lewis ,but its to far from Penzance ( obviously nothing compared to the distance you have to travel ) Perhaps one day there will be a workshop in the west of the country.Meanwhile I shall continue to enjoy your playing and singing on CDs and Youtube .Bob Edited November 25, 2017 by KelTekgolow
Wolf Molkentin
So that's pretty bad luck Bob, as last year Jody showed up at the Admiral Benbow - which I of course much enjoyed, like I did the fantastic leg of lamb I chose as we met for supper before the gig Best wishes - Wolf edit: I see that maybe I got your post wrong, as you're referring to the workshop in Lewes - so maybe you were there too last year (I recall another concertina player, apart from my two little Cornish minuets, who'd been contributing very nicely). PS: Hi Jody, unfortunately we couldn't make it this year, but we're confident that this will be the case in another year Edited November 25, 2017 by Wolf Molkentin
John Wild
Keltekgolow - I'm sure the good folks in the Hebridean island of Lewis would be delighted to hear Jody. Meanwhile the good folks in Lewes would have enjoyed the show. Jody - I'm sorry I missed you this year. Your date at Lewes was one I unfortunately could not make. I'll keep a lookout for next year. Best wishes, John.
Jody Kruskal
I just finished playing an excellant session in Sheffield. There were six of us, fiddle, melodeon, guitar and three Anglos, me, Christian R. and Will Q. So sorry to those who hoped to but were not able to attend any of this years Jody events. Better luck and health next year when I am planning to be coming over again in November 2018 to play at these fine venues: Saturday 3 Royal Traditions near SheffieldMonday 5 Midway in StockportTuesday 6 Wurzel Bush, Brinklow near RugbyFriday 9 Ryepiece house concert, EttingtonSunday 11 HorshamWednesday 14 HambledonFriday 16 BodminSunday 18 Folk on the Moor near PlymouthTuesday 20 Great Knight in Northampton If the dates work out and Dave Townsend will have me, I might be teaching workshops at his Super Squeeze weekend in Witney. Certainly do contact Dave and ask him to include me in the tutor line up if you think you might attend and want to learn what I have to offer. If a few of you were to email or call Dave, that would be very helpful as I put this 2018 tour together.
