Jim Besser
I was captivated by Brian Peter's amazing version of this Joplin tune and determined to learn it. I'm still having problems smoothing out some of the choppy spots - I'm guessing a few more than my 30 buttons would really help on this piece to even out difficult passages - and the D part continues to give me heartburn. But it's been a total hoot working it out from his recording. Now to add back in some of the fiddley bits I omitted. Constructive suggestions more than welcome. https://soundcloud.com/concertinist/weeping-willow-bessermp3 Edited April 3, 2017 by Jim Besser

Brian Peters
Great job, Jim! When I get back from holiday I'll try to work out which of my extra 9 buttons I use in that tune.
Jim Besser
Great job, Jim! When I get back from holiday I'll try to work out which of my extra 9 buttons I use in that tune. I bet the extra buttons are pretty important in the down chromatic run in the D part....on a 30 button box, no alternate fingerings to smooth that out!
