Noel Hill In Canada This Fall

Recommended Posts

I have just confirmed with Noel Hill that we will be offering his week long Irish concertina school in Nova Scotia this October 2005. It will be either the first or third week of October, depending on concert dates which are being currently arranged. Exact dates will be shortly announced. We are now accepting deposits to hold your place. To register or to get more specific information, please contact Marc Blumberg at iwkfolks@aol.com. For more general information on the school, please visit Noel's website at http://www.noelhill.com.

These two weeks in October bracket the Celtic Colours Festival. Now in its 9th year, Celtic Colours is a Cape Breton, Nova Scotia Island-wide festival featuring 44 performances over nine days as well as a nightly festival club. Each year, over 300 artists from all over the Celtic world, including Scotland, Ireland, the United States, Brittany, Spain and Canada perform at over 30 venues around the island. Besides the nightly events, there is a schools program, visual arts series and a full schedule of workshops that allows the visitor to be an active participant in the Celtic culture. For more information visit the Celtic Colours website http://www.celtic-colours.com/core.php.

Come to Nova Scotia this Fall. Enjoy the breathtaking Fall beauty, learn to play the Anglo concertina from the instrument's virtuoso master, and visit one of the world's great Celtic festivals.
