Northumbria Here We Come!

Recommended Posts

As the weather is very much not winterly these days, I'm all the more looking forward to our Northumbrian vacancies in 2018.

So I took up "The Chanter's Tune" once again and coupled it with "Old French" (which I hadn't played before). Both taken down two semitones as known from Alistair Anderson's playing (and I like the slightly deeper tone myself...).

So here's the file - WIP, will have to further work on the timing (and accuracy of some notes), but anyway I've been able to create the sort of hypnotic feel (not exactly like the pipes would, but you may listen yourself) I was aiming at at times with the second tune, to my ears at least. Even some bending, but I succeeded only once here... :)

What do you guys think?

Best wishes - Wolf
