Bob Tedrow
This is the second Jeffries brought into the shop from deep deep in rural Alabama. Both belonged to deceased relatives.

d.elliott
Nice photo of a Jeffries, or a photo of a Nice Jeffries? assuming the bellows are good, it looks in superb condition from the outside Dave

Before you, what is known about the history of the concertina in Alabama? Any information about the deceased relatives who owned these instruments? RP3
Based on the seven fold bellows which could be original, I will go out on a limb and suggest that it likely was/is an Aba/Eb or a G/D. How good was my guess Bob? Ross Schlabach
Bob Tedrow
A C/G concertina, provided as payment in lieu of cash to a rural physician in Alabama in the 30's or 40's. All original condition, beset with various ills consistent with improper storage and lack of attention. NFS, a family treasure.......particularly so after I informed them of its compelling interest to the concertina cognoscenti. Bob
Chris Timson
Not for sale? Excellent. I hope, though, that having inherited it they get you to sort its problems and someone from the family learns to play it. That would be a fairytale ending to the story.
