Banding Together at Seale-Hayne 15th - 17th June 2012 A dedicated band weekend for competent/advanced concertina players
This weekend, led by Claire Wren, will be based at Seale-Hayne, Newton Abbot, Devon, a beautiful complex of buildings with a Grade II listed quadrangle surrounded by magnificent countryside. The site has many surprising extras from a licensed cafe/bistro, artists’ workshops and an exciting art gallery to its farm with donkeys, goats and Indian Runner ducks. The area has a great deal to offer with both moorland and coast on the doorstep, so non-concertina playing partners are also welcome.
We will be working in a newly converted music block comprising practice rooms, large band room and state of the art recording facilities. We will be concentrating on all the nuances of tight band playing under the direction of a guest conductor.
