A Visit to The Button Box

Some photos from a recent trip to our friends at The Button Box in Amherst, MA, USA
By Ken Coles, captions by Paul Schwartz
[Note from Paul: I bought my first concertina (a Lachenal) from The Button Box, but I've never been to the shop myself, so I thought these photos might be of interest to you, as they were to me. Thanks to Ken for sending them along, and to The Button Box for allowing me to publish them here.]

"I had a chance to visit the Button Box store in Amherst and had a lot of fun. I saw the repair facility, where they were working on my concertina, and was impressed by the neat and professional set up. I also learned their stock changes much more rapidly than the used instrument lists might suggest, so if what they have available makes a difference to you, you should call before travelling to Amherst."

Doug, the Manager, beats up a piano accordion. It had it coming.

Concertinas, concertinas, concertinas... and a few other "lesser" members of the free-reed family.

Mario, in the repair shop.

How did THESE make it onto my site?!?

I think they have a few parts available in the repair shop!
